Breastfeeding & Lactation Support for Women

We support expecting and postpartum moms who are feeling overwhelmed, uncertain or unsupported in their breastfeeding journey. Through compassionate, evidence-based lactation care, we help families feel confident, and cared for every step of the way.

Our mission is to offer support, evidenced-based knowledge and a stronger sense of community to encourage parents to meet their infant feeding goals.

Our vision is for parents to feel empowered and to promote self-efficacy, all while increasing the breastfeeding rates in our community.

Meet the Founder

Meagan Millar

When Meagan isn’t learning about lactation, she enjoys watching her boys play hockey, cooking, helping with baseball and going camping with family. Meagan is a compassionate and knowledgeable professional, who believes in the importance of meeting parents where they are.

Meagan believes that when prenatal education is paired with readily available support in the postpartum period, the ability to reach one's infant feeding goals is positively impacted.

Meagan's education and experience includes:

LEAARC-approved breastfeeding program from Mohawk College
18-hour breastfeeding course recognized by the World Health Organization
100 additional mentorship hours

She has volunteered as a breastfeeding peer support provider and has gained significant firsthand knowledge from her own breastfeeding journeys, totaling over 8 years (and counting!).

Meagan had her third child during the pandemic, which proved to be a very isolating experience. This solidified her desire to begin this business of educating and supporting new parents. She considers it an honour to work with families during this transitional period in their lives and would love to support you!

Fun facts about meagan

Meagan began as co-owner with her sister and is now the full owner and sole service provider of Sisterly Lactation. She has been in the lactation industry since 2022, providing prenatal breastfeeding education and in-home lactation consultations in Sarnia/Lambton, Middlesex, London and surrounding Ontario communities.
